Not just because you don’t know if you’ll have them with you tomorrow.  (Psalm 144:4)

Not just because you feel like it.  (1 John 4:20-21)

Not just because they might need your words and arms of comfort today. (2 Corinthians 1:3-4)

For all of these reason, and so many more… treasure the time you have with your loved ones.  Tell them you love them.  Hey, go even further.  Tell them WHY you love them.  Give them something of yourself to cherish.

We have had many – too many – tragic deaths affect our community recently.  Accidents, diseases, suicides… and our school children, school administrators, community leaders, church families, unchurched families, teenagers have all been affected by these losses. I don’t pretend to know why these things happen.  I don’t think anyone does know, except for God.

God is always in control, even when it seems like He isn’t.  Especially when it seems like He isn’t.  (Romans 8:28)    Take comfort in this.

And go love on your loved ones today.
